New WWE Tag Team Title Belts in the Works? – WWE may be in the process of introducing new Tag Team Title belts. While WWE has revamped several of its title designs in recent years, the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Title belts, currently unified as the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships, have retained their current design since the reintroduction of the brand split in 2016. The Spartan version of the tag team title belts has been in use since 2010.
However, it appears that change may be on the horizon. A source within WWE has disclosed to Cultaholic Wrestling that potential new designs for the tag team title belts were tested with photos and videos during rehearsals leading up to the October 16 episode of Monday Night Raw in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The rehearsal involved a 30-minute segment where the new titles were revealed, placed on a table in the center of the ring, with a production assistant unveiling them.
Two different sets of new tag team title belts with radically distinct designs were screened. One set featured all-gold belts with black straps, while the other set had a gold and silver design with one red and one blue strap.
The details regarding whether WWE intends to use both designs and potentially split the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles or if they plan to replace the current titles with one of the new designs remain undisclosed. Additionally, the exact timing for the introduction of one or both of the new designs is uncertain, but the source suggested that WWE seems to be in the early stages of the final approval process.
