Before this remarkable return to the spotlight, Abadon had not graced AEW television since October 29, 2021, when they faced AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker in a Trick Or Treat Match. Abadon did participate in a few dark matches throughout 2023, but their last appearance on AEW programming was in December 2022 on AEW Dark.
