Bryan Danielson’s Expected Return – AEW star Bryan Danielson is inching closer to his return to in-ring action after being sidelined for roughly a month due to a broken arm.
Danielson sustained the injury during the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event in June while facing Kazuchika Okada in the main event. Remarkably, he continued to wrestle for the final few minutes of the match despite the injury.
Initially, there was hope that Danielson would only need to be out of action for 6-8 weeks. However, it was later determined that the injury was more severe than initially believed, leading to surgery on July 3rd. Bryan Danielson provided details about the injury during an appearance on The Nikki & Brie Show.
According to the latest update from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bryan Danielson’s expected return is in October. This timeline could potentially allow him to participate in the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event scheduled for October 1st in Seattle, Washington—Danielson’s home state.
While Danielson’s return is anticipated with great excitement, it’s important to note that this event is not expected to feature top NJPW stars, as it is primarily a tribute to NJPW’s founder, Antonio Inoki. Nevertheless, fans are eagerly looking forward to Danielson’s return to the squared circle, regardless of the opponent.
