9/11 WWE RAW Marks Second-Lowest Viewership in Show’s History – With the NFL season now in full swing, WWE RAW is facing a challenging period in terms of its ratings. The September 11 episode of WWE RAW saw a noticeable decline in viewership, drawing an average of 1.353 million viewers on the USA Network. This marks a significant drop from the previous week, where the show averaged 1.704 million viewers. Additionally, the 18-49 demographic rating dipped from 0.52 to 0.40.
This episode of RAW now stands as the second least-watched in the show’s history, narrowly trailing behind a “best-of” episode that aired in December of the previous year. The decline in viewership can be attributed, in part, to the competition from Monday Night Football, which aired on ESPN and ABC and garnered over 22.6 million viewers. Last year’s Monday Night Football opener also drew strong viewership numbers, with an average of 19.76 million viewers across the networks.
Breaking down RAW’s viewership for the September 11 episode, the first hour drew 1.367 million viewers with a 0.38 key demo rating. The second hour saw a slight increase, bringing in 1.401 million viewers and a 0.43 key demo rating. However, the third hour experienced a decline, with 1.292 million viewers and a 0.40 key demo rating.
These recent trends highlight the challenges WWE RAW faces in maintaining its viewership during the NFL season. As the show competes with the popularity of football, it will be interesting to see how WWE adjusts its programming to engage and retain its audience.
Here is a list of total viewership and the key demo rating that Raw has done over the last 4 episodes:
- 8/21/23: 1,591,000 viewers – 0.50 key demo rating
- 8/28/23: 1,677,000 viewers – 0.51 key demo rating – Payback go-home show
- 9/4/23: 1,704,000 viewers – 0.52 key demo rating – Payback fallout
- 9/11/23: 1,353,000 viewers – 0.40 key demo rating – start of Monday Night Football
