We are live from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, as Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring for our first match of the night.
Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka
Before the match, we take a way too long look back at the Women’s Title match from SummerSlam.
They engage in a lock-up, and Charlotte Flair applies a wrist lock. Asuka deftly counters with a kick while flipping in the ropes, reversing the wrist lock. Charlotte breaks free, and Asuka responds with a precise back heel kick. Asuka bounces off the ropes and Flair, with both competitors exchanging forearm strikes. Flair showcases her power with a shoulder tackle, and she attempts a handstand head scissors takedown, but Asuka counters with a drop kick.
Asuka proceeds to unleash a series of kicks on Charlotte. Flair, however, blocks one of the kicks and retaliates with a leg sweep. A swift kick to the head follows, demonstrating Flair’s agility. Asuka counters an Irish whip, but Flair executes a Flair Flip and follows up with a kick to Asuka. Flair ascends the turnbuckle, but Asuka interrupts her plans with a press slam. Asuka maintains her momentum with a missile dropkick, followed by a sliding kick to the head that nearly secures the victory.
After a commercial break, Flair executes a pescado, diving to the outside onto Asuka. Flair then returns Asuka to the ring and climbs the turnbuckle to hit a cross body. Flair follows up with her signature chops and a fallaway slam. A handspring clothesline further demonstrates Flair’s athleticism, leading to a near fall.
Flair transitions into a waist lock, but Asuka counters with an elbow strike. Charlotte retaliates with a running boot to the head, momentarily stunning both competitors. However, the atmosphere changes as Iyo SKY’s music plays, and she emerges alongside Bayley and Dakota Kai.
Asuka seizes the opportunity with a roll-up, coming close to victory. Flair rebounds with a back elbow, and a forearm exchange ensues, with Bayley distracting Charlotte from the apron. Asuka capitalizes on the distraction to deliver a series of kicks, however Iyo SKY executes a springboard double dropkick, taking advantage of the chaos surrounding the ring.

He readies himself for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Kross seizes the moment and catches AJ, quickly locking in the Cross Jacket submission hold.
AJ struggles to free himself and reaches for the ropes. He tries to counter by floating over, but Kross, showing his technical prowess, emulates Bret Hart’s technique and rolls through, maintaining the hold. Despite AJ’s attempts to escape, Kross maintains his grip. In a quick turnaround, AJ manages to run Kross into the turnbuckles and follows up with a moonsault. He executes a reverse DDT on Kross, narrowly missing a pinfall victory.
AJ employs a series of kicks on Kross and then positions himself on the apron for a springboard 450 splash, successfully executing the maneuver. However, Scarlett intervenes by placing Kross’ foot on the ropes, preventing the referee from counting the three.
Mia Yim enters the scene and attempts to confront Scarlett, but she misses a kick. Scarlett retaliates with a punch, and this distraction provides Kross with the opening he needs. Kross strikes a distracted AJ from behind, delivering a Saito suplex. He prepares for a forearm strike, but AJ evades and hits a swift Pele Kick. AJ gears up for his signature Styles Clash finisher, but Scarlett once again interferes by getting on the apron.
