Update On Kofi Kingston WWE Return – It looks like WWE will be getting some star power back in the near future in the way of Kofi Kingston, who has been on the sidelines since March when he suffered an injury that resulted in him undergoing surgery.
The ankle injury happened in a segment this past March on SmackDown while doing a spot at ringside as Drew McIntyre did a flip dive taking out several wrestlers. He had to get surgery a few weeks later.
While appearing on the Battleground Podcast last month, Kingston opened up on his recovery and noted he was still doing rehab before teasing that he would be back sooner rather than later.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select was asked during a Q&A session about Kingston’s status.
“I was told that Kofi wasn’t supposed to be that far off [from returning], but that was a week or two ago, I believe.”
