Kevin Owens Has Been Wrestling With Fractured Rib – As noted, Kevin Owens is on the sidelines with a legitimate injury and has now been written off television.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Owens has been working injured for a while now.
Owens was taken out on Monday’s WWE Raw by The Judgment Day after Zayn’s match with Dominik Mysterio. Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley threw the injured Owens into the entranceway, causing a distraction for Zayn which led to a loss. Later, Owens was shown being checked on by medical personnel as he thought something was broken.
“It’s a fractured rib. So the story, he’s actually been working on it for a while, and it was just one of those things where they were waiting for a time to finish up with everything he’d finish up….He’s gonna get rest. I don’t know how long, and I don’t know what the status of the Tag Team Titles are. I’m sure that that will probably all be addressed in the next couple of days, but it was legit. He’s been working on a legit injury. So that’s the basic gist of the story there.”
