LA Knight and Zelina Vega have qualified for the upcoming Money in the Bank ladder matches.
Vega became the first to qualify for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match on 6/2 WWE SmackDown, defeating Lacey Evans with a code red. The two confronted one another on the Grayson Waller Effect talk show prior to their match, with Evans striking Vega with the woman’s right before the match started as the ring was being cleared.
LA Knight defeated Montez Ford to qualify. The finish had Knight reverse a pin, using the ropes for leverage.
Qualifying matches began Monday on Raw, with Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura becoming the first to qualify for the men’s match. Qualifiers that will take place on next week’s SmackDown include Butch vs. Baron Corbin, Santos Escobar vs. Mustafa Ali, Michin vs. Bayley, and Shotzi vs. IYO SKY.
Money in the Bank will take place on July 1 at the O2 Arena in London, England.
