Rhea Ripley Confronts Carmelo Hayes At NXT Gold Rush – Tuesday’s show marked the second week of the NXT Gold Rush special, and two champions faced off in a brief confrontation backstage.
NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes was getting ready for his title match against Baron Corbin when WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley appeared. She warned Hayes not to get involved with The Judgment Day’s business and made it clear that there would be consequences if he got in their way again.
Hayes helped Seth Rollins when Finn Balor attacked him on the June 20 episode of WWE NXT. He also got involved when Balor blindsided Rollins on the June 26 episode of WWE RAW. Hayes then lost to Balor in a singles match on Monday.
