6/6 NXT Results – We see Baron Corbin arriving at the Performance Center and he walks past many of the wrestlers.  He tells a production assistant to hit his music.

Baron says he never thought he would walk back through these doors.  When he got the call, he cleaned out his locker and never looked back.  For eight years, he was on the main roster.  While he was main eventing pay per views, people were coming up to the main roster full of desire.  Now they come up with an ego acting like we should thank them for coming to the main roster.  Baron says he heard people either talking about their legacy or complaining about why they aren’t being called up.

They have guaranteed contracts and are living in a house he built.  All of the OGs who started in FCW and they went all the way to sell out Barclay’s Arena.  He tells the people to get off his bandwagon because they never clapped for him before.

The people in the back couldn’t look in his eye and show him respect.  Baron says he is going to make everyone regret that they signed a WWE contract.  Every one of them is soft and weak.  They are not as good as they think they are.  It all lies on the champion, Carmelo Hayes.  He acts like his stuff doesn’t stink.  Melo got a taste of main roster reality when he laid out Carmelo last week.

Ilja Dragunov makes his way to the ring.

Ilja asks Baron to give him a chance to introduce himself.  He tells Baron that he is Ilja Dragunov. He says he came out to look him straight into the eyes to tell Baron he is not soft or weak.  He is the most animalistic and intense person in WWE.  He says he is the first person in line to face Carmelo for the title.

Baron says that is the NXT arrogance.  Baron says he has been in six Wrestlemania matches.  He retired Kurt Angle and he is the last man to pin Roman Reigns. Ilja says Baron is targeting Carmelo to make a point but Ilja says he is challenging Carmelo for the title.  If he has to ravage Baron with pain to get what he wants, so be it.

Baron says there is a difference between what Ilja says and what he gets.  He jumps the line because he says so. Ilja says Baron makes assumptions while Ilja says he makes challenges.  He challenges Baron to a match tonight.
