Finn Balor Viciously Attacks Seth Rollins At NXT Gold Rush – The rivalry between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor spilled into WWE NXT when the WWE World Heavyweight Champion returned to the brand.
At NXT Gold Rush on June 20, Rollins defended the gold against Bron Breakker, who previously challenged him to a match on the June 6 episode. The two stars went back and forth in a thrilling main event.
In one highlight, Rollins took flight and put Breakker through the broadcast table with a frog splash. Breakker put Rollins in the Steiner Recliner and later dropped him with a Spear. In the end, Rollins scored the win after he hit Breakker with two of his signature stomps.
After the bell, Balor blindsided Rollins and attacked him with a chair. NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams came out and made the save to close the show.
Balor also attacked Rollins on the June 19 episode of WWE NXT. He will challenge Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Money in the Bank.
