Bryan Danielson’s Injury Has Caused Several Adjustments Creatively For AEWKazuchika Okada vs. Bryan Danielson took place at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where it served as the main event.

Danielson went over in the bout when he tapped out the top star in a flat finish. The reason for the finish was that Danielson suffered a broken arm.  It was revealed at the post-event presser that Danielson was injured, which was initially expected to keep him out of action for 6-8 weeks, potentially keeping him on the card for All In London at Wembley Stadium in August.

Danielson has been working in creative alongside AEW President Tony Khan in recent months, something he’s been highly praised for, including coming up with the Championship Rampage idea.

As previously reported, Brie Bella said on Instagram Stories earlier this week that Danielson’s injury is worse than they thought.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that “Danielson has been working on the first several weeks of AEW Collision creative of late” and been viewed as a very valuable person among talent because of how they want their creative to be handled and communicate things to the creative team.

The report added that the injury “caused several adjustments creatively for AEW. There were plans for Danielson to wrestle more on television following Forbidden Door.”

Danielson was supposed to be involved in the Blood and Guts match on July 19 between The Elite and the Blackpool Combat Club.
