Indi Hartwell Relinquishes NXT Women’s Title, New Champion To Be Crowned At Battleground – During tonight’s NXT broadcast, Indi Hartwell went out to the ring on crutches and with a walking boot.
Hartwell announced that she would be vacating the title and a tournament will be held to crown a new champion. The tournament will start next week and the finals will take place at the NXT Battleground event. Hartwell was met by Dexter Lumis, who showed up from under the ring so he could carry her to the back.
After Hartwell left the ring, several of the women on the roster went out to the ring and a big brawl broke out to close the show.
Following the WWE Draft, Hartwell is moving to the RAW roster and will start when she’s cleared from the high ankle sprain she suffered last week.
Hartwell won the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver in a ladder match. She made two successful title defenses.
