New Four Pillars Tournament To Decide MJF Opponent At AEW Double Or Nothing – AEW announced a brand new tournament on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, with the winner sent to face off against MJF for the AEW World Championship at AEW’s Double or Nothing.
The tournament, titled the “Four Pillars” Tournament, will feature four superstars, three of whom will be fighting for the chance to face off against MJF at Double or Nothing. Tonight’s first match will see “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry take on Sammy Guevara. The winner of that match will then advance to next week’s show where they will face Allin, who received a bye after MJF drew his name out of a hat. The winner of the match next week then will face MJF at Double or Nothing on May 28.
The tournament was announced during an in-ring segment with Perry, Guevara, and Allin. After all three began bickering about their respective rights to facing off against MJF, the champion himself came out.
On the ramp, MJF then told his fellow pillars to stop fighting over him before announcing the title tournament. It was then that Darby was announced as having a bye, which was determined by MJF drawing his name out of a hat.
In the weeks following Revolution Jungle Boy, Guevara, and Allin all made claims to being the next in line to challenge MJF. Jungle Boy attacked MJF earlier this month on Dynamite by disguising himself as part of a band MJF hired to play during an MJF Day celebration.
