Drew McIntyre Removes WWE References From Twitter – We have just reported that Drew McIntyre is not backstage for tonight’s SmackDown. In a related news, now McIntyre has removed WWE references from his bio on his Twitter account. He has also removed his profile photo and header. His Twitter account bio previously stated: “@WWE Superstar | #SmackDown”
What this means is anyone’s guess but, per multiple reports, McIntyre is dealing with a health issue and at the same time there’s talk that he may not renew his WWE contract when it expires later this year.
As noted, McIntyre and WWE are not even close to agreeing to terms on a new deal and the company is taking seriously the possibility that he will let his deal run out. If that happens then he would be legally able to negotiate with other companies such as AEW, NJPW, Impact Wrestling and others if that is what he wants to do.
