AEW Is Apparently Canceling "Dark Elevation"

AEW Is Apparently Canceling “Dark Elevation” – It appears that AEW has nixed one of its Dark programs ahead of the reported launch of AEW Collison.

AEW has used Dark and Dark: Elevation as its streaming shows through its YouTube and FITE TV channels. These programs are used as developmental as AEW can have their regular stars work squash matches while also getting a look at new talent.

The show started in March 2021 as AEW’s third weekly show at the time before Rampage launched.

It appears that Dark: Elevation is ending, as FITE noted that this week’s episode was the final one. It was touted as a “best of” show, and no new bouts aired.

FITE wrote in the description of the episode:

“The Special and final episode of Elevation – it’s Best of Elevation airing on FITE! The episode is throwing it back to some of the best matches that have graced our Monday nights over the years!”

It’s possible that Dark: Elevation is just no longer airing on FITE, but with AEW President Tony Khan already having so much content and the expected launch of the June 17th show, it looks like the decision to stop producing the program has been made. AEW has yet to comment on the future of the show.
