Rey Mysterio’s WWE Hall Of Fame Inductor Revealed – A major wrestling star and one of the most influential names in the history of pro wrestling will be inducting Rey Mysterio into the WWE Hall Of Fame.
Dave Meltzer reported that Konnan will be doing the honors for Rey on the night before WrestleMania. Meltzer noted that this was at Rey’s request and it was approved by the company.
Meltzer tweeted: “Konnan will be inducting Rey into the Hall of Fame. Rey asked for him and the company approved it. As noted last night, to me it was the only choice.“
Konnan was the most obvious choice because they have been close for decades, dating back to Rey and Konnan’s early days in the wrestling business. This might be Konnan’s first appearance at a major WWE event. Konnan wrestled briefly as Max Moon on non-televised matches in 1992 but those matches never aired and he left the company before the character debuted on TV with Paul Diamond playing the role.
The 2023 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, March 31 from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, right after the WrestleMania 39 go-home edition of SmackDown goes off the air in the same venue.
