Monster’s Ball X-Division Title Match Set For Next Impact

Monster's Ball X-Division Title Match Set For Next Impact

For the first time ever, the X-Division title will be defended in a Monster’s Ball match as Trey Miguel faces Crazzy Steve.

Their feud started several weeks ago when Miguel hit Steve from behind during a post-match skirmish and he’s been pursuing the champion ever since. He issued the challenge on Thursday’s Impact on AXS.

Miguel has defeated Steve’s stablemate Black Taurus twice and will be gunning for his third title defense in his second reign.

Two former ECW allies turned enemies will continue their issues in a Beat the Clock Challenge as Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer will each have matches. The one that wins quickest will talk first in the newly-announced live Busted Open Radio segment at No Surrender.

Ahead of their singles match on the No Surrender pre-show, “Speedball” Mike Bailey & Jonathan Gresham will team up to take on Impact Tag Team Champions The Motor City Machine Guns in non-title action.

In another No Surrender preview, Allysin Kay of Hex will go one-on-one with Taya Valkyrie in Kay’s first Impact match since January 2018. Kay & Marti Belle will challenge Valkyrie & Jessicka of the Knockout Tag Team Champion Death Dollz on the streaming special.

Ahead of his match with Kon at No Surrender, Frankie Kazarian will team with Yuya Uemura against The Design’s Deaner & Callihan.

Here’s the current lineup:

  • X-Division Champion Trey Miguel defends against Crazzy Steve in a Monster’s Ball match
  • Tommy Dreamer & Bully Ray Beat the Clock Challenge
  • Motor City Machine Guns vs. Mike Bailey & Jonathan Gresham
  • Allysin Kay vs. Taya Valkyrie
