WWE Is Reportedly Extremely Happy About The Royal Rumble

This year’s WWE Royal Rumble is in the books as the company starts the road to WrestleMania 39.

Cody Rhodes won the 30-Man Royal Rumble match while Rhea Ripley won the women’s Rumble bout, both earning championship matches at WrestleMania this April.

WrestleVotes and PWInsider have reported on the backstage reaction to the show.

Per WrestleVotes, WWE is happy with both Rumble bouts, Gunther’s performance, and the wild spot with Logan Paul and Ricochet, where they hit a springboard clothesline in mid-air.

PWI reports that “WWE is extremely happy with the performance of the Royal Rumble event over the weekend” and “extremely thrilled” with the event’s viewership on Peacock.

As previously reported, the show was expected to be the most-watched PPV by Americans in Royal Rumble history due to the increase in Peacock subscribers, which hit 20 million at the end of 2022.

It also set a new record for the largest gate in the event’s 36-year history.
