Renee Paquette has addressed the possibility of her on-screen involvement with Jon Moxley segments on AEW TV.
While Moxley has been with AEW since May 2019, his wife Renee Paquette signed with the promotion more recently, in October.
Speaking on the Sports Media podcast, Paquette noted that she doesn’t think Moxley needs to be aligned with her to tell compelling stories.
Discussing a potential on-screen partnership, Paquette said:
“We’ve definitely not had that conversation. Jon and I haven’t spoken about it. Tony [Khan] and I haven’t spoken about it.
“But, I’m sure Jon would agree with this, his character is so lone wolf, does his own thing, walks to the beat of his own drum. I think me adding a layer to that is not something that he needs.
“I just don’t really see that being a thing that he needs, especially with the style that Jon wrestles. There’s not really a lot of room for me to go out there. And what am I gonna add to that?
“Jon’s such a great performer with everything that he does. Adding me in there just muddies that storyline, I think.”
Moxley is a three-time AEW World Champion, most recently winning the gold in September at the Dynamite: Grand Slam special.
He dropped the title to MJF at the November 19 Full Gear pay-per-view.
