Mia Yim Officially Gets New Name – We noted last week how Mia Yim appeared in a backstage segment with The OC calling her ‘Michin’. At the time it was stated that it was just a nickname and she would continue to be known as Mia Yim.
Sometime within the last few hours, the WWE website officially updated Mia Yim’s name. She will now be known as just Michin, according to her Superstar bio page.
Apparently, there was a change of plans. The name “Michin” means “crazy” in Korean. Yim is currently feuding with Rhea Ripley on the WWE Raw brand and is scheduled to be part of the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.
Yim thanked and re-tweeted a fan on Twitter who wrote, “Y’all. Mia literally owns the rights to her name and has always wanted to keep the rights no matter where she’s worked. I bet you money Michin was her idea especially with it being Korean.”
Yim also tweeted to confirm that her new name is Korean for “crazy” or “crazy one,” as seen in the tweets below:
