Vince Russo Criticizes Candice LeRae’s WWE Promo – WWE has undergone quite a lot of changes under the new regime. One of the changes Triple H implemented after taking over WWE was to allow Superstar some creative freedom by reducing the number of scripted promos.
While many superstars have taken to this and put on staggering performances on the microphone, there are some that have fallen flat.
According to former WWE head writer Vince Russo, Candace LeRae falls under the second category. Speaking on the latest episode of “Legion of RAW“, Russo stated that he wasn’t impressed by Candace LeRae’s backstage interview with Cathy Kelley on this week’s RAW (see below). He also mentioned that Candace LeRae needed a lot of work if she wants to deliver unscripted promos on television.
“If they are not scripting interviews anymore, this came across as the most scripted interview I’ve seen in the last year. No question about it. If this girl was speaking off the cuff, wow, bro, she needs a lot of work.”
During the interview, Vince Russo criticized the entire backstage segment that also involved Damage CTRL claiming that none of the stars involved in the angle were able to grab the viewer’s attention. We’ll have to see how things transpire from this point on, but Candice LeRae is just getting started.
