Multiple Eyewitnesses Say CM Punk Dog Story Is False

Multiple Eyewitnesses Say CM Punk Dog Story Is False – With just a couple of hours until AEW Dynamite and with rumors that Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks were returning, news broke from CM Punk’s camp about Punk’s dog Larry getting hurt during the backstage fight after AEW All Out.

In the days and weeks after the fight, there have been several versions of the story about what happened, including versions told from the Punk side of things, and the story about Larry the dog had not been told until last night.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he had gotten stories from both sides and the part about the dog had never been mentioned. Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that, per multiple sources, the story is a fabrication.

Meltzer later stated the following on the Observer Board, in response to members talking about the subject: “Anyway, multiple eye witnesses said that dog story was a total fabrication. If it was true, the end of the investigation would have been that Punk would be the one staying.”

“People are dying for a super over babyface. That’s what the business is really missing that babyface that gets that kind of reaction, and if you got one, then don’t turn him heel. I know he doesn’t want to be a babyface. I know he wants to be a heel.”

Meltzer later added, “Again, the time to turn him heel is the time to turn him heel not when you want to do it. Not like Ric Flair, who would turn babyface, get super over, draw ratings, and then Ric Flair would sit there and go, ‘I don’t want to be a babyface, turn me heel.’ It was a mistake so many times.”
