AEW Dynamite Viewership Increases On 9/7

AEW Dynamite viewership saw a slight increase on September 7, featuring the fallout from AEW All Out on Sunday, but apparently all the backstage drama didn’t help a lot.

According to Showbuzz Daily, 1,035,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.38 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership was up from the August 31 episode when 1,020,000 viewers tuned in. The demo rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.35 rating in the same demographic.

Despite the increase in viewership, AEW Dynamite remained in second place in the demographic among cable originals overall last night. They were defeated by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a show that continues to be their biggest rival from week to week, according to Showbuzz Daily.

This week’s show kicked off with Tony Khan stripping CM Punk and The Elite of their championships. This led to a promo between MJF and Jon Moxley. The main event of the show saw Daniel Garcia defeat Wheeler Yuta to become the new Ring of Honor Pure Champion.

Viewership numbers for the last 4 episode:

Aug 17: 0.957
Aug 24: 1.049
Aug 31: 1.020
Sep 7: 1.035
