WWE Dealing With Roster Depth Issues Ahead Of Hell In A Cell

WWE Dealing With Roster Depth Issues – As of this morning, there have been no matches from the SmackDown side announced for Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view and it all boils down to the lack of depth on the roster.

WrestleVotes noted on Twitter that the brand split is not ending but “for all intents and purposes, it’s shot.”

WWE has been mixing talent from both rosters more often in recent months and it looks like we will be seeing more of that in the coming months as Roman Reigns pulls back on the number of shows he works on. Reigns is not scheduled for the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view and he is no longer advertised for Money In The Bank. They are also losing Randy Orton for an unspecified period of time as well.

As noted, Lacey Evans is being moved to SmackDown after being bounced back to Raw just a couple of weeks ago so you can see some of that uncertainty over the roster depth playing out in real time.

WrestleVotes tweet states:

“The lack of SmackDown matches currently advertised for this weekends Hell In A Cell event speaks volumes. It’s an indictment on the roster a source says. While the “brand split” isn’t ending, for all intents and purposes, it’s shot.”
