WWE RAW Results (5/16) Norfolk, VA – We start off with a video package showing MVP’s journey from ally to enemy of Bobby Lashley.

We are live from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, VA, as Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton, and Corey Graves welcome us to the show near the steel cage. The commentary team runs down the rest of the show. That includes a “Countdown To Cody” graphic shown indicating he’ll be on RAW at 10 PM Eastern.

Bobby Lashley vs. Omos in a Steel Cage match

MVP and Omos make their way to the ring. They both enter the cage because MVP has something to say before the match.

Porter says you will witness a spectacle of destruction.  One of the people who will enter this cage got a little too big for his boots, tried to get the spotlight of Wrestlemania without him.  That is the former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.  The other competitor is the future of the WWE.  He is bigger, stronger, and meaner than Bobby Lashley could ever be.  That would be Omos.  Porter says he expects Lashley to put up a fight but the result is a foregone conclusion.  Omos can beat Bobby Lashley by pinning him one.. two… three, or he can beat Lashley until he scream out to quit by submission, or he can escape the cage.  Since there are no disqualifications, he expects Omos to brutalize Lashley more than he did at Wrestlemania.  Let’s be clear, the All Mighty Era ends tonight.  You are blessed and fortunate to be living in the era of Omos.

Cedric Alexander runs down and attacks Lashley from behind on the ramp. They brawl and Omos exits the cage to help Cedric. Officials run down to try and restore order as fans chant for Lashley now. Omos and MVP are held back on the ramp as Lashley enters the cage and calls Omos in to fight. Omos stares down to the cage as we go to commercial.

Lashley with a clothesline to the back of the head.  Lashley waits for Omos to get to his feet and he applies the full nelson on Omos but Omos tries to back Lashley into the corner and Lashley lets go of the hold and Omos goes into the turnbuckles.  Lashley goes to the turnbuckles and Omos grabs Lashley by the throat.  Lashley kicks Omos in the shoulder.  Cedric Alexander climbs the cage to stop Lashley from going over the tope.  Alexander is inside the cage and he kicks Lashley.  Lashley tosses Alexander from the top of the cage to the mat.  Lashley with a cross body but he is caught by Omos.  Omos tosses Lashley into the cage. Omos grabs Lashley and Lashley with punches.  Lashley runs into a boot and he goes down.  Omos with a claw and then he gets Lashley on his shoulders.

Omos with a Death Valley Driver into the cage and the cage wall collapses and while Omos stands in the ring, Lashley just walks on the cage to the floor to win the match.

Winner:  Bobby Lashley

After the match, Lashley and his fans explode as it becomes obvious that he’s winning. MVP seethes at ringside. It’s announced that despite the unique way the match ended, Lashley is still the winner as his feet touched the ground first.

In the Arena:

We are back and Cody says he was told that Seth Rollins is not here.  While he is surrounded by lovers in Virginia, he hopes that Seth is listening.  I tried to move on from our feud but Seth poured gasoline on him.  Seth said that Cody would not take anything from him again.  What did he take?  Was it two victories, a victory bonus?  Seth’s biggest obstacle is himself.  Seth is busy trying to pull him into this.  Cody says in 2012, Seth shows up in WWE SHIELDED up.  Cody says he was one of the bitter boys in the back.  He quickly won tag team gold and he shattered the glass ceiling.  Seth won his way to the top.

Cody says his story is a little different.  He didn’t win.  He says he didn’t win that much until recently.  I scratched, I crawled, and I painted my face with a smile but I was dead inside.  I endured.  You learn so much from loss.  You learn to live and love and how to reinvent yourself.  The number one thing I learned is that I will never be the American Dream, so why not embrace the Nightmare.  You can say I lost my way to the top.  What this comes down to, is Seth’s embarrassment over losing two matches outweigh his quest for vindication.  This is my second chance.  Everyone knows what it is like to have a second chance.  You don’t take it for granted.  If you are going to take my second chance, you will have to kill me.

I will give you the chance.  Cody says they run it back and lock all the angst and play for keeps.  This time, for the third time, but inside Hell in a Cell.

Seth Rollins appears in the back while cackling and moving around like only Seth can (or should).  Seth says he wants to get this straight?  Stealing my spotlight wasn’t enough for you?  Cheating to win at Backlash wasn’t enough?  One stomp on an announce table and you want to face me one more time?  This time inside Hell in a Cell.  You must be stupider than you look.  This is the biggest mistake you have made in your life.  Anyone who steps in that cell with me is changed forever.  You already know my answer.  I am going to exploit every one of your insecurities and I am going to expose you for the fraud you are.  Rollins versus Rhodes III… I accept.

Seth cackles some more. Cody says there is nothing more to say than I’ll see you in hell.

Backstage:

Asuka is in the back and Sarah ambushes her to ask Asuka about her match against Becky for a chance to face Bianca. Asuka calls Becky a Big Time Baby and she says she will give Becky a reason to cry, BECAUSE she’s ready for the Raw Women’s Champion and Becky Lynch is not ready for Asuka.

I am thankful to be here on Raw not only to show everyone that you have the ability to beat the cycle, but to show my baby girls that we can do it.  We have what it takes to make it.  We have what it takes to wake up, to work, and to win.  I may not be better than any of these superstars in the Raw locker room, but they are no better than me.
