WWE Using ‘Sunday Stunner’ For Upcoming Live Events

WWE Using ‘Sunday Stunner’ For Upcoming Live Events – WWE continues to make changes to its live events following the news that they will be using their Saturday Night’s Main Event name for two back-to-back Saturday live events in April in Alabama and Florida.

Upcoming Sunday house shows are now listed on Ticketmaster as “Sunday Stunner.” This includes the Sunday, May 1st event in Fairfax, Virginia as well as shows in Syracuse, New York, and Binghamton, New York. WWE had recently filed a trademark for the term.

WWE hasn’t formally announced the change. After returning to live event touring last July, WWE has reduced the number of house shows they run. Instead of house shows for each brand – Raw and SmackDown – the company has run shows with both rosters.

Before the pandemic, Vince McMahon had talked during earning calls about making changes to their live event business to help increase attendance revenue. It seems those changes are now being implemented.
