WWE SmackDown Results (1/28) Kansas City, MO – We are live from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, MO, as Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring to start the show.
Charlotte says that she is honored to do what The Chiefs are going to do again, bring a championship to Kansas City. You won’t be the only ones disappointed on Sunday. There will be 29 other women who will be banged up and bruised after being eliminated by her. Charlotte says it is impossible to prepare for it. You have the shocking entrances, the surprising returns, and the betrayals. It is every woman for themselves. It is every woman scratching and clawing to try to throw everyone out.
Charlotte says she didn’t have to enter this match. She could have cruised all the way to Wrestlemania to see the winner pick her. That is not the type of champion she is. She does not sit around waiting for things to happen for her. That is why she is the most dominant champion in the history of the WWE. Normally the winner chooses their opponent for Wrestlemania. Charlotte says she will choose the challenger for her match at Wrestlemania.
Shayna Baszler makes her way to the ring.
Shayna apologizes because Charlotte is speaking her language. There is no denying you are an incredible competitor, but tomorrow night, if it ends up me and you again, I will not hesitate to snap you like a twig, limb by liimb. Shayna says she will make a promise. She will not wait any time declaring Charlotte as her opponent for Wrestlemania. You just have to make sure you are healed up.
Aliyah makes her way to the ring.
She says she didn’t know if she could come out since everyone is coming out. She says she has a lot of butterflies in her stomach. She might be able to compete at her first Wrestlemania. Charlotte says Aliyah has zero chance of winning. Aliyah says she does not have a lot of wins, but she beat Nattie in 3.17 seconds. She says she is optimistic.
Natalya interrupts and makes her way to the ring. She says that Aliyah is clueless but she is not optimistic. You can talk about your fluke record, but she is a three time Guinness record holder. Tomorrow will be four.
Shotzi makes her way to the ring. What a preview for tomorrow night. All these massive egos colliding and descending into chaos. Creating the perfect opportunity for someone like her, exactly like her to sneak right in and seize the spotlight.
Charlotte says this is absurd. None of you belong in the ring with her and none of you are going to win. No one in the WWE and nobody…
Sasha Banks’ music interrupts and she joins everyone else in the ring. Sasha says the boss is back and she is ready to rumble.
Sasha slaps Charlotte and Sasha goes to teh apron. Natalya goes after Aliyah while Shayna and Shotzi battle. Natalya with a double leg take down of Charlotte. Shayna with punches and kicks to Shotzi followed by a knee. Natalya picks up Aliyah and Aliyah with an enzuigiri and a drop kick that sends Shayna under the ropes. Charlotte with a boot to Aliyah.
Charlotte and Sasha are in the ring and Charlotte turns around and sees Sasha. Sasha blocks a kick and Sasha with a knee and Charlotte is sent over the top rope to the floor.
— We take a look back at Ridge Holland suffering a broken nose at Day 1.
Backstage:
Ridge and Sheamus are in Gorilla and Ridge is asked about his match against Cesaro and Ricochet. Ridge tells Megan it is time to return the favor and squash Ricochet like the parasite he is. Sheamus says that Ridge talks just like him and he fights just like him. Sheamus says that Ridge will celebrate like him when he wins the Royal Rumble.
Sheamus bequeaths the Sheamus family face mask.

Sheamus and Ridge Holland vs. Cesaro and Ricochet
Before the match, Ricochet says the only way to stand out is to rise above. Winning the Royal Rumble would be the ultimate vindication. Winning tonight would be cause for celebration.
Cesaro and Sheamus start things off and they lock up. They go to a stalemate and they lock up again. Sheamus with a side head lock take down and Cesaro with a head scissors. Cesaro with a side head lock take down and Sheamus with a head scissors. Sheamus goes to the floor. They lock up and Cesaro wtih a side head lock take down. Sheamus with a knee and side head lock. Sheamus with a shoulder tackle. Sheamus mises a knee and Cesaro blocks a hip toss and connects with a clothesline and a double stomp. Ricochet tags in and he connects with an elbow off the turnbuckles. Sheamus with a knee and foerarm. Holland tags in and he connects with a forearm to Ricochet followed by a European uppercut.
Ricochet floats over in the corner and Holland blocks a kick. Ricochet lands on his feet and he sends Holland to the apron. Ricochet with a springboard drop kick that send Holland to the floor. Ricochet with a fliip dive onto Holland.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Ricochet with punches and a kick. Sheamus with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. We see footage of a POUNCE from Holland to Ricochet. Holland tags in and he runs Ricochet into the turnbuckles many times. Holland with an exploder. Holland works on the face and drops a knee to the head. Holland with a slam and elbow drop. Holland gets Ricochet on his shoulders for a back breaker. Ricochet with a quebrada and Cesaro tags in. Sheamus tags in and Cesaro with punches and European uppercuts. Cesaro with more European uppercuts and Irish whips. Cesaro with a springboard corkscrew European uppercut. Cesaro sends Sheamus to the floor and Cesaro with a running European uppercut against the ringside barrier.
Cesaro with a cross body but Sheamus goes for a uranage back breaker and Cesaro counters into an inside cradle for a near fall. Ricochet with a springboard drop kick to Holland to send him to the floor. Sheamus with a knee to Ricochet. Cesaro with a back breaker for a near fall. Sheamus tags in Holland and Cesaro with a double leg take down on Sheamus but Holland with a head butt to Cesaro followed by Northern Grit for the three count.
Winners: Sheamus and Ridge Holland

— Sonya Deville is in the back and she tells the referee that he works for her. The referee tells Sonya he has to call the match down the middle.

Naomi vs. Sonya Deville
Sonya avoids Naomi and goes into the ropes and the referee keeps Naomi away. Sonya avoids Naomi again and goes into the ropes one more time. Sonya with a double leg take down and the referee warns her. Sonya sends Naomi face first into the mat and applies a rear chin lock. Naomi with an arm drag and head scissors to send Sonya to the apron. Naomi with a forearm. Sonya with a knee to the midsection and a round kick for a near fall. Naomi slaps Sonya and hits a drop kick. Sonya rolls to the floor and Naomi with a drop kick through the ropes.
Naomi sends Sonya into the apron and then runs Sonya into the apron again. Naomi gets a near fall. Sonya rolls to the floor. Naomi with a basebal slide and Sonya catches Naomi and hits a hanging DDT to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Naomi floats over in the corner and Sonya with a spinebuster for a near fall. Sonya with a reverse chin lock. Sonya sends Naomi to the mat and Naomi with a round kick and then Naomi with a springboard kick. Naomi with a sit out cutter. Naomi with a forearm in the corner followed by a kick and a bulldog into the turnbuckles. Naomi goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Naomi gets another near fall. Sonya sends Naomi into the turnbuckles and Sonya with a Hellevator for a near fall.
Sonya gets Naomi up but Naomi escapes and hits a Bubba Bomb for a near fall. Sonya grabs the ring skirt and the referee fixes the skirt while Sonya rakes the eyes and rolls up Naomi for a near fall. Naomi with Rear View and a split legged moonsault for the three count.
Winner: Naomi
After the match, Sonya goes to the back while Naomi celebrates in the ring. Naomi has a mic and says after 153 days of Sonya Deville throwing everything at her, it wasn’t enough to stop the glow. I shined through just like I am going to shine brighter when I win the Royal Rumble. Naomi tells Sonya not to slip on her tears as she leaves.
Sonya Deville comes back out and she puts on her jacket. You are so excited about the Royal Rumble. Guess what, as your WWE official, I cannot let you go into the Royal Rumble without a surprise. There is a special guest entrant and her name is Sonya Deville.
Backstage:
Kayla Braxton is in the back with The Usos. Kayla asks about his cousin’s match against Seth Rollins and what will Seth’s message be. Jimmy and Jey say that even if they are barred from ringside, Roman will still win. The Viking Raiders show up. Erik says they love a good feast and Ivar says they cultivate a very manly odor. Erik says they love their axes. Ivar says they are not just for throwing. Erik says you can trim a beard, sever a finger, or cut a championship in half. The Usos leave.
— Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring for the latest In Zayn segment with Jinder Mahal and Shanky. But first… We go to commercial.
In the Arena:
Sami is in the ring with Jinder Mahal and Shanky. Sami says he had to retool things. The stunts and pranks got out of hands. Due to Johnny Knoxville, he almost ended up in the hospital. Now he is going to do a podcast. Sami mentions that they will be facing Nakamura and Boogs tonight.
Jinder says it is an honor to be a guest but Sami cuts off Jinder and says this is what the show should have been from the beginning. Sami says he never wants to hear the name Johnny Knoxville again. Sami says this is the show intellectuals talk about smart topics. He wants to talk to Shanky about post industrial society.
Jinder says he has embarrassed Nakamura before and he will do it again. Sami says Shanky probably never heard of Johnny Knoxivlle. Jinder says Jackass is huge in India as well as all over the world. Shanky says he loves the bungee port-a-potty. Sami says Johnny is not that famous in India. For the yokels in Kansas City, maybe.
Rick Boogs interrupts with a guitar solo. Boogs and Nakamura enter the ring and Zayn is not impressed. Sami yells at Nakamura and Nakamura kicks Zayn in the head.

Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jinder Mahal and Shanky
The match is joined in progress and Boogs tags in and slams Mahal. Shanky tags in and they lock up. Shanky pushes Boogs away. Boogs runs Shanky into the corner and punches Shanky in the corner. Shanky with a kick and forearm to the back. Boogs with forearms to Shanky and Mahal. Boogs with a bear hug. Boogs with a suplex. Zayn pulls Nakamura off the apron and Mahal tags in. Mahal with forearms to Boogs and Boogs BOOGS Up. Shanky tags in and Mahal with a kick. Boogs blocks a double Irish whip and Boogs with a double sledge to Mahal and a flying shoudler tackle or two to Shanky but he stays on his feet. Boogs with a shoulder tackle.
Boogs with a pump handle slam for the three count.

Backstage:
Kayla is in the back and she is with Kofi Kingston and Big E. Kayla asks Kofi how does it feel to have Big E on Smackdown. Kofi says it is great to have Big E by his side again and he is looking forward to the Royal Rumble. When one of them win the Royal Rumble, all of them win the Royal Rumble. Big E says that Moss and Corbin are going to feel the power.

Kofi Kingston and Big E vs. Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss
Before the match, Corbin says they are looking forward to embarrassing Big E and Kofi like they did with Drew.
Moss and Big E start things off and Moss with a shoulder tackle. Big E with a back elbow and he gets a near fall. Kofi tags in and hits a leap frog back senton for a near fall. Corbin tags in and sends Kofi into teh turnbuckles. Corbi with a splash and punch. Corbin chokes Kofi and tosses Kofi into the turnbuckles. Corbin knocks Big E off the apron but Kofi with a pendulum kick and chop from the turnbuckles. Kofi with a drop kick and Moss tags in. Kofi with a drop kick and Moss goes to the floor. Corbin and Moss catch Kofi on a trust fall from the turnbuckles and they send Kofi into the ring post.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Moss kicks Kofi in the corner. Corbin tags in and they go for a double belly-to-back suplex and Kofi lands on his feet and tags in Big E. Big E with two overhead belly-to-belly suplexes to Corbin and he sets for a belly-to-belly suplex but Corbin blocks it. Big E with a UranagE and then Big E with a belly-to-belly suplex and splash to Corbin. Big E gets Corbin up and Kofi is caught by Corbin who hits a choke breaker. Moss tags in and Corbin with Deep Six to Kofi for a near fall. Big E trips Corbin and sends him into the ring steps.
Kofi escapes and kicks Moss. Big E tags in and they hit Midnight Hour on Moss for the three count.

— Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.
— Kane is announced for Talking Smack tomorrow.
In the Arena:
We are back and Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring, but is Roman Reigns talking first, asking Kansas City to aknowledge him.
Seth asks Roman if he thinks he is Patrick Mahomes. Seth says he will acknowledge that he played Roman like a fiddle last week. He thanks Roman for getting his cousins disqualified to make the match tomorrow one-on-one. Roman says it was a simple decision. He could let Seth embarrass his family by pinning one of them or he could punch Seth in the face and get the same result. Seth says if getting pinned by him is embarrassing, he has brought more embarrassment on his family than anyone. Roman says we are in 2022 and the Tribal Chief equals God Mode.
Seth says he is living for tomorrow but the past is worth looking back at. There was the greatest cash in of all time. Or how he pinned Roman on his return after an injury. Roman says it is water under the bridge.
Seth mentions the time he took a steel chair to Roman’s back and changed the game forever. Seth says that one stings a little. When I took that chair and put it in your back. I knew what I was doing. It catapulted you to superstardom. You can thank me for everything that has happened. You are the greatest superstar of our generation? You have beaten them all, except beat me when it matters most. Tomorrow night, I want you to know it is not personal when I take that title from you. I will always love you.
Seth asks if the cat has Roman’s tongue. Roman mentions the chair to his back and breaking up the Shield. Roman says he tried for forgive Seth. I will never forgive what you did to us. I hate you. Seth laughs and he says he knows Roman does. You say I am a clown, but you are a joke. Everything about you and your family are a joke. Tomorrow it all goes up in smoke.
Roman pushes Seth and then he goes for a Superman punch from the back but Seth ducks it and he gets out of the ring laughing as we go to credits.
