WWE SmackDown Drops Below 2 Million Viewers

WWE SmackDown Drops Below 2 Million Viewers

The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown saw the ratings drop. Last Friday’s show averaged 1.972 million viewers on FOX, which is down from last week’s 2.303 million, according to Showbuzz Daily

In the all-important 18-49 demographic, the show did a 0.48 rating, down from the 0.52 rating a week ago. This was the lowest key demo rating and total viewership on FOX since the July 9th episode, the last show in the ThunderDome.

This show was taped one week in advance and aired on Christmas Eve. Ratings were expected to be down due to it airing on this date, which is also a reason why WWE decided against airing a new episode of SmackDown in favor of a year in review edition this Friday on New Year’s Eve.
