WWE Releases, John Morrison Hit Row – Earlier today, WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis released Hit Row (Top Dolla, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Ashante “Thee” Adonis), John Morrison, Tegan Nox, Drake Maverick, Shane Thorne and Jaxson Ryker.
The cuts were described as “budgetary.”
This is the second round of WWE releases this month. On November 4th, WWE released 18 talents including Keith Lee, Nia Jax, Karrion Kross, Eva Marie, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Scarlett Boudreaux, Oney Lorcan and Ember Moon.
Hit Row debuted on the main roster this past October, alongside B-Fab. B-Fab was one of the talents released by the company earlier this month.
Morrison re-signed with WWE in 2019 following an eight-year absence. He was paired with the Miz during that time, and the duo faced Bad Bunny and Damian Priest in a featured match at WrestleMania 37 earlier this year. The Miz turned on Morrison this past August, however, the two never had a chance to wrestle as Miz was announced as a contestant for Dancing With The Stars. Morrison’s wife, Taya Valkyrie (f.k.a. Franky Monet) was released earlier this month.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, there will not be any additional cuts.
For those asking, I’ve not heard of any additional cuts in this round. That doesn’t mean they will or will not happen tonight
Below is the email from Laurinaitis:
