NXT Great American Bash Results – The 2021 Great American Bash edition of WWE NXT opens up with a video package. We’re live on the USA Network as Vic Joseph welcomes us to the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. He’s joined at ringside by Wade Barrett and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix. Fans chant “NXT!” as Vic hypes tonight’s show.
NXT Tag Team Titles Match
Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher vs. MSK (c)
Carter and Ciampa start things off. They lock up and Ciampa backs Carter into the corner and Ciampa with a wrist lock. Carter with an escape and Ciampa chops Carter. Carter with a springboard corkscrew cross body. Thatcher tags in and they lock up. Thatcher backs Carter into the ropes and Carter does the same. Thatcher with a wrist lock and Lee makes the tag and he punches Thatcher in the midsection and then Lee and Carter with a series of kicks but Thatcher chops Carter and Thatcher kicks Lee. Ciampa and Thatcher with forearms across the chests of Lee and Carter. Thatcher sends Lee to the mat with a rear chin lock and then he rakes the eyes.
Thatcher with knees to the midsection and then Thatcher tries to put Lee’s boot against his head. Thatcher with an elbow drop. Ciampa tags in and he kicks Lee. Ciampa with a chop and then he hits a running knee to Lee. Ciampa with a reverse chin lock and knee to the midsection. Lee escapes a slam attempt but Ciampa with a shoulder tackle. Lee with a drop kick. Carter tags in and Carter with a head butt and uppercut. Carter with an enzuigirii and a running knee into the corner. Carter rolls Ciampa to the mat and kicks Ciampa in the chest. Carter goes to the turnbuckles while Ciampa goes to the floor. Carter hits a moonsault onto Ciampa when Ciampa pushes him out of the way. Ciampa clotheslines Carter and he pats himself on the back for his performance.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Carter kicks Ciampa in the corner and Ciampa with a waist lock. Carter lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt and Lee tags in. Lee knocks Thatcher off the apron and then snap mares Ciampa and hits a drop kick to the back. Lee falls to the floor when Thatcher pulls open the ropes. Thatcher sends Lee into the ring and Ciampa with a running knee for a near fall. Lee kicks Thatcher and he tags in Carter. Lee with a punch and then Carter and Lee with kicks and Carter hits a double stomp to the back. Lee pushes Carter onto Thatcher with a moonsault for a near fall. Carter with chops to Thatcher. Thatcher with a belly-to-belly suplex. Ciampa tags in.
Ciampa kicks Carter and then he chops Carter. Ciampa with forearms and he tags Thatcher back in. Thatcher with European uppercuts and Ciampa tags in. Ciampa with more chops and forearms and Carter fires back and fights his way out of the corner but Ciampa with a knee and slaps to Carter followed by a jumping knee to the head. Carter with forearms and a double leg take down. Carter with punches. Ciampa with a kick to Carter and Carter with a jumping knee and Lee tags in.
Thatcher with a forearm to Carter and then Thatcher accidentally hits a European uppercut on Ciampa. Lee with a Tiger Feint Kick to Thatcher. Lee goes for a handspring move and Ciampa with a drop kick and Project Ciampa for a near fall. Ciampa sets for Fairy Tale Ending but Lee blocks it and gets a near fall with a jackknife cover. Thatcher tags in and Lee kicks Thatcher and tags in Carter. Carter with a jumping knee and Ciampa tags in and he clotheslines Carter and Lee. Ciampa puts Carter on the turnbuckles and he sets for a Super Air Raid Crash but Carter gets to his feet and then Carter with a super kick . Lee and Carter tag in and Lee with a forearm and Carter with a drop kick. Carter with a swanton and Lee tags in and hits a Spiral Tap for a near fall when Thatcher breaks up the cover.
Thatcher with a forearm to Carter and he sends Lee back into the ring. Thatcher tags in and Ciampa and Thatcher with a spike Fairy Tale Ending and Thatcher with an ankle lock but Carter pushes Ciampa into Thatcher to break up the hold. Lee with an inside cradle for the three count.
Winners: MSK
After the match, Thatcher is shocked at the finish. MSK takes their titles in the middle of the ring and begins celebrating as the music hits. MSK stands tall now while Ciampa and Thatcher recover on their knees and look on.

— We see Adam Cole arriving at the building earlier today as he traverses the Most Dangerous Parking Lot in Sports Entertainment. We also see Kyle O’Reilly make his way to the ring.
In the Arena:
Samoa Joe and William Regal are in the ring. Regal mentions how Johnny Gargano has antagonized Karrion Kross. Regal wants Kross and Gargano to come to the ring.
Johnny Gargano is first to the ring and then he is followed to the ring by WWE NXT Men’s Champion Karrion Kross.
Gargano says that Kross Suuuuuuuuuucks. He says he has been living rent free in your head for weeks and there is a lot of room up there. You showed why you are not in my league and that is why you tried to hit me with your car.
William Regal says next week, Johnny Gargano will face Karrion Kross for the NXT Championship.
Kross asks Garagno if he thinks he is afraid of you. Kross says he didn’t try to run over Gargano, Gargano was in the way. I have a size advantage over you. I have better convictions than you. Never lose the NXT Championship, main event Wrestlemania, and become WWE Champion. What do you do Johnny? :Put on a pair of your wife’s jeans? You think you are going to win the match by putting on some technical moves. This isn’t a movie. This ia real life. You get the living daylights beaten out of you. Next week will be like all others.
Regal says that Samoa Joe will be the guest referee next week.
Gargano loves that Joe is the referee. Gargano tells Kross it is funny you mention my wife’s pants because you couldn’t lace my wife’s boots. Kross asks why wait until next week and he takes a step to Gargano but Joe gets in the way.

If Knight wins, Grimes must become his butler
Grimes kicks Knight and sends him to the floor. Grimes with a running kick on the apron. Grimes stops Knight from trying to escape and Grimes sends him back into the ring and hits a cross body for a near fall. Grimes with a reverse chin lock on Knight. Knight with a back elbow. Knight kicks Grimes in the corner. Grimes with a hard Irish whip and Knight goes to the apron. Knight drops Grimes on the top rope and then Knight goes for a slingshot shoulder tackle and Grimes with a Superman punch for a near fall. Grimes misses a round kick but he does not miss with a moonsault and gets a near fall.
Grimes with a reverse chin lock. Grimes goes face first into the turnbuckles when Knight ducks in the corner. Knight with a tilt-a-whirl slam for a near fall. Knight with an elbow from the floor. Grimes with a chop but Knight with a punch. Knight kicks Grimes and chokes him. Knight with a punch to the midsection and Grimes with a cross body for a near fall. Knight gets a near fall. Knight with a reverse chin lock. Grimes punches and chops Knight. Knight with a knee to the midsection. Knight kicks Grimes after posing on the turnbuckles. Knight catapults Grimes’ throat into the bottom rope. Knight with crossfaces to Grimes.
Knight with a reverse chin lock. Grimes with a Spanish Fly cross body and both men are down. Grimes and Knight exchange punches. Grimes with the advantage with punches but Knight pulls Grimes’ hair. Grimes with more punches and slaps. Grimes with a clothesline and a uranage slam for a near fall. Grimes with a clothesline in the corner. Grimes with a waist lock and he goes for a German suplex but Knight with an elbow. Grimes skins the cat when Knight tries to send him over the top rope. Knight with a Burning Hammer for a near fall. Grimes with a back slide for a near fall.
Grimes with a round kick and then Grimes is sent to the apron by Knight. Grimes with a forearm and he goes up top and Knight with a superplex for a near fall. Knight goes to the floor and he grabs his belt and then goes into the ring. Knight tries to distract the referee from the fact he has the title. Grimes with a rollup and then Knight reverses and gets a near fall with a handful of tights. Grimes with a poisonrana and Grimes gets a near fall.
Grimes sets for Cave In but Knight goes to the floor. Grimes tries to kick Knight but Knight grabs the boot and sends Grimes to the apron and Knight with a DDT off the apron onto the title belt. The referee starts his count as Grimes struggles to get back into the ring. Grimes dives back in at nine because of a power up. Knight wtih a kick and a head lock driver for the three count.
Winner: LA Knight
— Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai are in the back with McKenzie and they are asked about the tag title match. Dakota says if it wasn’t for Shotzi, she would have been a champion. If she has to squish Ember to get to a title, I will do it. We have put Shotzi on the shelf before. Raquel says next time it will be for good.

— The participants in the Breakout Tournament are on the stage: Trey Baxter, Carmelo Hayes, Andre Chase, Josh Briggs, Ikemen Jiro, Joe Gacy, Odyssey Jones, and Duke Hudson. The tournament starts next week. Ikemen Jiro will face Duke Hudson next week in a first round match.
— We see Adam Cole getting ready for his match against Kyle O’Reilly.
NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles Match
Io Shirai and Zoey Stark vs. Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae (c)
Io and Indi start things off and Indi with a waist lock take down. Io with a wrist lock. Indi with a reversal and Io with an escape. Io with a drop kick ot the knee and then to the head. Candice tags in and she gets a near fall. Candice gets another near fall. Indi tags in and they Irish whip Io and Io with a boot to Indi and Candice misses a splash and io kicks Candice to the floor. Io with a missile drop kick for a near fall. Stark tags in and they go for a double suplex and hit it. Stark kicks Indi and gets a near fall with a back slide. Stark sends Indi into the turnbuckles but Indi with an elbow and she drops Stark on the top rope and Stark falls to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Indi with a top wrist lock on Stark and she takes Zoey to the mat. Stark with an arm drag to escape and Indi stops Zoey from making the tag. Stark with a kick and then Candice and Io tag in. Candice and Io exchange punches and Io with a ahoulder tackle or two. Io with a flapjack and a Tiger Feint Kick to Candice. Io with a springboard drop kick for a near fall. Io with an elbow to Candice and Stark tags in and she hits a running knee into the corner. Io with a knee and a butterfly back breaker after Stark hits a super kick. Stark with a sliding knee to the head and she gets a near fall. Io tags in and she goes up top for a mooonsault but misses when Candice moves.
Candice with the GargaNo Escape and Indi with a side slam on Zoey into a Silencer and Io with a rollup for a near fall. Io with a palm strike and Io walks across Candice and goes up top but Indi stops Io and Candice with a German superplex for a near fall. Indi with a kick to Stark. Indi tags in and Indi with a spinning belly-to-back suplex for a near fall while Candice drop kicks Stark off the apron. Candice tags in and Io with an inside cradle for a near fall. Candice kicks Io. Indi tags in and . . .
The lights go out and the battery is finally at 100%.
Tegan Nox shows up on the stage and Candice LeRae is freaked out. Io with a back heel kick to Indi who tries for a springboard move. Io drop kicks Candice to the floor. Stark witih the K-360 for the three count.
Winners and NEW NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions: Io Shirai and Zoey Stark
After the match, Nox makes her way to the ring and she goes after Candice and she punches and kicks her in the ring. Candice gets out of the ring and Tegan follows after her.
— We see Kyle O’Reilly in the back getting ready for his match against Adam Cole.

— We are back and Toni Storm is in the interview area and she wants to know why Raquel Gonzalez is looking at Shotzi Blackheart instead of her. Toni says she would beat Raquel for the title. McKenzie brings up Sarray’s request. Toni says she is not the stepping stone and Sarray only became a star in Japan after I left. The answer is no.
— We take a look at what happened during the commercial break when Dexter Lumis carried Indi away in his arms.
— It is time for the North American Title Cypher Celebration. Ashante Thee Adonis is your MC. B-Fab goes first with her performance. Top Dolla is next. Isaiah Scott winds things up for Hit Row.
Top Dolla says to put respect on this name. Scott says he is building classics as the North American champion.
— We have a video package for Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole.

— We are back and McKenzie asks Joe and Regal about the Great American Bash. Regal runs through the results with the tag title change, Cameron Grimes’ new job, and the return of Tegan Nox.Joe says as enforcer, he is not seeking to change the trajectory of the match and he won’t do anything unless provoked..
Kyle O’Reilly vs. Adam Cole
They lock up and Kyle with a clean break. They go to a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and Kyle with a take down and Cole gets a near fall. They lock up and Cole with a front face lock and they get to the ropes. Kyle misses a round kick and Cole goes to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Cole with a forearm and Cole goes for a sunset flip but Kyle counters into a cross arm breaker but Cole holds on to both wrists. Kyle with an ankle lock and Cole gets to the ropes. Kyle with a knee to the arm. Kyle with an arm wringer into a hammer lock. Kyle with knees to the back and he connects with elbows to the back and Kyle with a sliding knee to the back. Kyle kicks Cole in the arm. Kyle with a hammer lock and Cole escapes but Kyle with a kick to the chest and Cole goes back to the floor. Cole misses an enzuigiri when Kyle grabs Cole from the ring. Kyle misses a knee off the apron and Cole hits a swinging neck breaker on the floor.
They return to the ring and Cole with a bicycle kick for a near fall. Cole with a neck breaker for a near fall. Cole sends Kyle into the turnbuckles and he follow with an Irish whip that sends Kyle sternum first into the turnbuckles. Cole with a figure four head scissors. Cole with elbows to Kyle’s head. Cole gets Kyle on his shoulders but Kyle escapes. Kyle with a knee to the midsection. Kyle with knees and a leg sweep to Cole. Kyle works on the shoulder and Cole with a forearm. Kyle with a knee and a series of butterfly take downs. Kyle gets a near fall. Kyle with a knee to the back of the leg and Kyle with an atomic drop to the leg. Cole misses an enzuigiri. Kyle misses a kick and Cole with a lungblower for a near fall.
