Bobby Lashley Is Now A 100+ Days Champion

Bobby Lashley became the WWE Champion when he won it from The Miz back in March on an episode of Monday Night Raw.

Since that time, he has been in a program with Drew McIntyre. Their first match came back at WrestleMania 37 where Lashley defeated McIntyre to retain the WWE Championship. One month later at WrestleMania Backlash, Lashley retained by defeating Braun Strowman and McIntyre in a triple threat match.

Lashley has reached an accomplishment as he has now held the title for 101 days. Bruno Sammartino is the longest reigning WWE Champion in history as he held the title for 2,803 days and there’s no chance of that record ever getting broken.

Lashley will defend the WWE Title against McIntyre at next Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event inside of the steel structure with the stipulation that if McIntyre loses he can’t challenge for the title again as long as Lashley is champion.
