The Rock Lands Another DC Character Role – Deadline reports the former WWE Champion will star in the upcoming animated ‘DC League Of Super-Pets’.
The movie will be directed by Jared Stern and Sam Levine, who work for Johnson’s owned ‘Seven Bucks’ production company. It is set to hit theaters on May 22, 2022.
The article notes, “Patricia Hicks, Jared Stern and, under their Seven Bucks Productions banner, Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia are producing the film. John Requa, Glenn Ficarra and Nicholas Stoller are executive producing. The film is based on characters from DC. Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.”
It was further reported that “Warner Bros. brass are really impressed by” the movie, which will be an “animated superhero action-adventure”. According to Variety, the animated flick will see Krypto and a flying cat team up while Superman is away to tend to other things.
The former WWE Champion is currently shooting the “Black Adam” film in which he plays the title character.
