Conflicting Reports About Tessa Blanchard Being In Talks With AEW – Tessa Blanchard remains a free agent after departing from Impact Wrestling last year. While she continues to work the independent wrestling scene, fans are still waiting for her to sign with a big promotion.
It was reported last week by SEScoops that Blanchard and her husband Daga were in talks to sign with All Elite Wrestling. It was stated the negotiations have been ongoing for over a month and one source close to the situation told them that it’s “all but a formality” until they are signed.
Dave Meltzer addressed this on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and according to him, AEW is not in talks with Blanchard.
“Oh, I do have to make mention before we go that AEW is not negotiating with Tessa Blanchard. I know people keep asking me about this, and in fact, there is nothing to it. So that’s the deal.”
Last December, Meltzer reported that based on what he was told, when her name came up, those in AEW wouldn’t deny her talent, which from that standpoint would be very valuable. However, “the decision was made to not pursue her.”
