Tonight’s RAW episode marked the end of an era, as the Hurt Business is over.
After a confrontation between the former RAW Tag Team Champions and Lashley, along with MVP, “The All Mighty” physically removed Benjamin and Alexander from the group.
Bobby Lashley tore into Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander for being incompetent and said that he had to go out of the family to find someone to take out Drew McIntyre.
Shelton Benjamin took issue with being talked down to by Lashley but Lashley did not want to hear any of it and he attacked him while Alexander fled to the ringside area. Lashley then declared that The Hurt Business is over.
After WWE Bobby Lashley kicked Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin out of The Hurt Business, he defeated Benjamin in a singles match while MVP watched on from commentary.
“The Gold Standard” nearly had the match won at a few points. He had Lashley on the ropes when he dropped him with Paydirt. But a flurry of offense later, Lashley earned the decisive victory with the Hurt Lock.
Next week, Lashley will try to make history repeat itself when he also faces Cedric Alexander.
