AEW Dynamite ended the three week win streak of WWE NXT in total viewers.
AEW’s Fight For The Fallen episode of Dynamite scored 788,000 viewers (+10% from last week), topping the 631,000 viewers (-17%) garnered by NXT on the USA Network by 25%, according to Showbuzz Daily.
In terms of total viewers, it was the second best number that AEW Dynamite has drawn since April, behind only the 827,000 viewers for the May 27th post-Double Or Nothing episode which featured an appearance by Mike Tyson. For NXT, it was their lowest number since the May 13th episode, and well below the 730,000 viewers they averaged in June.
AEW also dominated the night in the 18-49 demo. Dynamite scored a 0.29 rating in the demo (+3.6%), beating the 0.14 rating that NXT drew (-30%) in the same demo by a whopping 107%. It was the largest gap in the demo since the March 25th episode. Dynamite ranked #5 in the demo for the night, while NXT came in at #49.
In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite was tied with two other episodes for the second best rating (behind the May 27th episode which did a 0.32 rating) for the show since April. For NXT, it was their second worst number of the year in the demo of the year, beating only the May 20th episode that scored a 0.13 rating.
