Taz issued a statement to comment on his decision to throw in the towel during the match between Jon Moxley and Brian Cage at AEW Fight For The Fallen.
Taz took to his official Twitter to address the reaction to his decision to throw in the towel in order to have the match stopped when he realized “The Machine” was refusing to tap out despite Jon Moxley catching him in an arm-lock on his surgically repaired biceps.
“Some of you DO understand why I did what I did during the AEW World Title match between Jon Moxley [and] Brian Cage…but for those who are mad about it, understand this,” wrote Taz. “I would do the exact same thing in that same situation again. #AEWDynamite #FightForTheFallen.”
For those who missed it, AEW released footage that picks up from the moments leading up Taz throwing in the towel, as well as the moments after the match that saw Darby Allin make his return after being taken out by “The Machine” several weeks ago.
