Justin Roberts is out before the show goes live and welcomes everyone to the show. Roberts introduces Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, and Excalibur as the commentators for tonight’s show.
– On TNT, Kenny Omega (who still seems out of it like in Being the Elite) and The Young Bucks hype tonight’s match against Chris Jericho, Santana, and Ortiz. In another locker room (a clean shaven) Jericho stands next to his partners to hype “the biggest match ever.”
– Pyro get us start! Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, and Excalibur welcome fans as preview all the matches on tonight’s show.
– Vignette for Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara is shown. Rhodes says Guevara is “full of potential” and Guevara doesn’t want to hear that, he’s ready now. Cody says he’s not looking over Guevara as his title match against Chris Jericho approaches, but he also doesn’t want to get embarrassed. Guevara notes this is the biggest match of his career. Rhodes says if he loses that could change up the AEW Full Gear PPV.
Cody (with Brandi Rhodes) vs. Sammy Guevara
Cody gets big pops from the crowd, “Cody” chant rings out as he and Brandi hype the crowd in the ring. Guevara gets some boos from the crowd as he makes his way to the ring. Collar and elbow tie up goes into the rope, clean break. Crowd with a “Sammy sucks!” chant. Guevara takes down Cody, tries for a couple pins, doesn’t get much of anything on either one. Cody bails out to the floor for a moment as he gets back in, Guevara taunts him a bit, tries for a superkick, but nobody home.
Guevara leaps and then hits a backflip over Cody, dropkick, standing moonsault, cover, two-count. Cody with a side headlock, shoulder tackle, Guevara with a kip-up and slap to the face. Cody with the drop down punch to the face, spinning powerslam, cover, two-count. Back and forth chops. Cody with a delayed vertical suplex. Cody with a bunch of push-ups, but eats a spinning heel kick to the face. Cody with a springboard cutter, pin, two, tries again, no luck. Guevara with a springboard cutter of his own from the apron, cover, two.
Cody sends Guevara out to the floor. Brandi barking at Guevara. Cody goes for a suicide dive and Guevara pulls Brandi in front of him and she takes the brunt of that attack. Brandi gets up and says she’s okay as she shakes it off. Crowd with an “a-hole” chant. Back in the ring, Guevara tries for a moonsault, lands on his feet, tries standing moonsault, lands on his feet again, goes for a third and hits that, cover, two.
Guevara dropped on the second rope, Brandi smacks him in the head with her shoe. Cody with a disaster kick that turns Sammy inside out, cover, two-count. Guevara put up on the top turnbuckle (back to the ring), avalanche reverse suplex, cover, two! Cody getting a little frustrated now. Guevara eats a back elbow, Cody to the top rope, Guevara leaps up with him, hits a spanish fly, cover, two! Guevara goes up for a shooting star press, Cody gets the knees up, inside cradle for the 1-2-3.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring to interview Cody. Cody embraces Schiavone. Sammy Guevara comes back in the ring and turns Cody around. They then shake hands, and the crowd gives them a nice ovation. All of a sudden, AEW World Champion Chris Jericho attacks Cody from behind! The crowd loudly boos Jericho. Jericho turns his opponent at AEW Full Gear inside out with a clothesline. Jericho holds up the AEW World Championship before hitting a Codebreaker.
We go to commercial.
During the commercial break, which they had picture-in-picture with the commercials, Jericho continued to attack Cody. Jericho hit him in the face with the AEW World Championship. Jericho puts two chairs set up seat-to-seat on the floor and powerbombs Cody on them! Jericho grabs a microphone and says his name before saying he in the Champion of AEW. Jericho poses and listens to the loud boos from the crowd. Jericho then makes his way to the back.
Brandon Cutler vs. MJF
Before getting to the ring, MJF says to cut his music. He barks at the crowd, says he’s the fastest rising star. Crowd gives him an “a-hole” chant. “Tonight, you losers, get the distinct honor of seeing how a star is born.” He says Cutler clearly got lost trying to find his seat behind the guardrail, calls him a loser. MJF tells Cutler, D&D might not be right, but what’s very real is he’s better than Cutler, and he knows it.
They lock up, and MJF powers him to the corner before tripping him. MJF slaps him in the face and talks some trash. Cutler quickly backflips over MJF and slaps him in the face. Cutler gets thrown to the apron, but he comes back with a slingshot sunset flip powerbomb for a two count. MJF rolls to the apron and snaps Cutler’s arm off the ropes. MJF throws Cutler shoulder-first into the ring post and taunts the crowd. MJF shouts that this isn’t Dungeons and Dragons. MJF attacks, but Cutler eventually gets him out of the ring. Cutler connects with a suicide dive and gets him in the ring. MJF quickly takes him down and applies the Salt of the Earth arm bar for the submission.

In the Arena:
Chris Van Vliet is at ringside with Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes. Chris Jericho is in the upcoming Jay and Silent Bob movie. Smith puts over Jericho’s performance in the movie. Smith is excited about AEW. Angelico and Jack Evans come out and talk trash to Smith and Mewes. Mewes makes fun of the fact that they haven’t even won a match in AEW. Private Party comes over to Mewes and Smith to keep Evans and Angelico back.
– The commentators talk about the AEW Tag Team Championship Tournament and showcase the brackets.
– SCU is shown in Washington, D.C. They say it’s the worst town they’ve ever been in. Scorpio Sky did a great impression of Barack Obama.
In the Arena:
SCU is with Tony Schiavone. Scorpio Sky says he is going to sit out of the Tag Title Tournament and let the experience of Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian lead them to victory. The Lucha Brothers come out and say they will remind them why they’re the best tag team on the planet. They do their taunts. Pentagon spits mist in Daniels’ face. A brawl breaks out. Referees and producers (including Dean Malenko) come out to break it up.

– The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are shown warming up backstage.
– Chris Jericho is also shown talking to Ortiz and Santana. Jericho says tonight is the most important night in pro wrestling history.
Adam Page vs. PAC
They make their way to the ring as we go to commercial (not a good choice).
We are back and The bell rings.
Pac charges the ring and punches away at Page. Earl Hebner is the referee for this match. They trade punches with Page coming out on top. Page hits the ropes, but Pac kicks him in the midsection. Pac hits the ropes, but Page kicks him in the face. They hit the ropes, and Page turns Pac inside out with a clothesline. Page punches Pac to the corner and chops the chest. Pac rolls out of the ring to recover. Pac quickly attacks, but Page sends him twice into the barricade. Pac quickly attacks and sends Page into the ring. Page quickly recovers and connects with a suicide dive. Page gets him in the ring and waits on the apron. Pac punches him, but Page quickly comes back with a fallaway slam. Page kips up and does a standing shooting star press for a two count. Page takes his time going back to Pac, which the commentators point out is an error in strategy. Pac attacks him from behind and drops him on the apron. Pac then snaps him off the top rope before leaving the ring to bounce him off the apron. Pac stomps him and catches him with an Asai Moonsault.
Pac gets Page in the ring and hits a springboard 450 splash for a two count. Pac looks like he nearly lost his footing on that. Pac kicks him in the chest and stomps him. The crowd loudly boos Pac. Pac goes to the top rope, but Page rolls across the ring. Pac gets off the top rope and hits a running dropkick to the head. Pac goes back to the top rope, but Page grabs the foot. Pac punches him off, but Page lights him up with a superkick. Page then hits a super fallaway slam. Page follows up with a running dropkick before hitting a flapjack cutter for a near fall. Pac quickly comes back by kicking Page and sending him shoulder-first into the ring post.

Pac sends Page into the barricade and pulls him by the hair before putting him in the ring. Pac goes to the top rope and hits a missile dropkick. Pac kips up and stares at the crowd. Pac stands over Page and looks down on him. Pac chokes him on the middle rope and talks more trash. Pac kicks Page in the face before booting him in the face. Pac shouts at the crowd and walks around Page.
We come back from the break to see Pac still shouting at Page. Pac then yells at the crowd. Page punches back at Pac and sends him into the ropes for a standing spinebuster. Page goes for the Dead Eye, but Pac grabs the ropes. Pac punches him back and goes for a springboard, but Page forearms him. Page hits a powerbomb for a near fall. Pac rolls out of the ring to recover. Page goes to the top rope and hits a moonsault block to the floor! Page gets him in the ring and goes for a Buckshot, but Pac moves. Earl Hebner is nearly hit. Pac takes advantage of the distraction to kick Page low. Pac absolutely flattens him with a Black Arrow before locking in the Brutalizer for the submission victory!
Winner by Submission: PAC
PAC is now 2-0 in AEW. PAC celebrates in the ring and taunts the crowd. PAC is bleeding from his eye as he walks to the back.
– Dr. Britt Baker, DMD makes her way to the commentary table to watch the first ever AEW Women’s World Champion be crowned.

Nyla Rose vs. Riho

The bell rings, and Riho quickly avoids a charge from Rose. Riho peppers her with some strikes and dropkicks her. Rose stays standing, so Riho hits a second dropkick that backs her up. Rose reverses a whip, but Riho comes back with a head-scissor takeover. Riho hits the ropes, but Rose shoulder blocks her down. Rose taunts Riho and hits a big splash. Riho bridges up out of the pin and stomps away at her. Riho goes for a double stomp, but Rose presses herself up with Riho on her back. Riho falls off and hits the mat hard. Rose hits a snapmare and kicks Riho in the spine. Rose applies an STF, but Riho eventually fights up. Riho strikes Rose back before knocking her out of the ring. Riho goes to the top rope and goes for a cross-body block to the floor, but Rose catches her and hits a backbreaker on the floor. Rose goes under the ring and grabs a steel chair. The referee takes the chair away from Rose. Riho punches Rose, but Rose sends her into the barricade. Rose sends Riho into the barricade again and looks at the title. Rose goes under the ring and takes out multiple steel chairs. Rose puts Riho on top of the stacks of chairs and jumps off the apron with a summersault senton, but Riho moves! Rose writhes in pain on the floor after landing on the chairs! Riho comes off the apron with a double stomp to the midsection.
Riho gets Rose in the ring and comes off the top rope with a double stomp to the back. Riho applies a submission as we go to commercial.
During the commercial: Rose cuts Riho off and hits a Samoan Drop. Rose drops her midsection first on the top rope and strikes her. Rose goes to the top rope and hits a flying knee to knock Riho off the top rope. Rose picks up a near fall. Rose applies another STF and really cinches it in.
We come back from the break to see Rose let go of the STF and set up for a powerbomb. Riho goes for a back body drop, but collapses under the weight of Rose. Riho fights back, but Rose cuts her off. Riho hits some more forearms and hits the ropes, but Rose big boots her down. Rose goes for a powerbomb, but Riho counters into a roll-up for a near fall! Rose quickly clotheslines her down and hits a Death Valley Driver for a near fall. The crowd is going crazy. Rose goes to the top rope, but Riho cuts her off. Riho wildly forearms away at her and hits a super northern lights suplex for a near fall!
Riho hits a pair of running knees before hitting some running knees to the face for the win!
Winner and new AEW Women’s World Champion: Riho
After the match, Riho becomes emotional after taking the AEW Women’s World Championship. Riho is the first ever AEW Women’s World Champion. Michael Nakasawa gets in the ring to interview Riho in Japanese, but Nyla Rose attacks them from behind. Rose lifts Nakasawa up for a powerbomb, but nearly loses him. She drops Nakasawa and then lifts him up for a sit-out powerbomb. Rose goes for a DVD off the apron, but Kenny Omega makes the save!

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks vs. Chris Jericho, Santana, and Ortiz
Kenny Omega will start against Santana, but Santana instead tags in AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. Jericho pretends to go after Omega before tagging Santana back in. Omega slides away from Santana and forearms him. Santana reverses a whip, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Omega chops the chest, but Santana shoulders him. Omega quickly dropkicks him in the knee and leapfrogs him to hit a bulldog. Ortiz tags in, but Omega hits a hurricanrana. Jericho tags in and chops Omega. Omega goes for a hurricanrana, but Jericho counters into a Liontamer attempt. The Young Bucks hit Jericho with a double superkick. The Young Bucks then take out Santana and Ortiz with a baseball slide and a twisting plancha.
Omega gets the crowd going and drops to a knee. Omega poses, but Jon Moxley runs in from behind. Moxley then wildly attacks him. Moxley sends Omega out of the ring and knees him in the kidneys. Moxley and Omega brawl into the crowd. In the ring, Jericho takes Matt Jackson down. Out in the crowd, Moxley punches Omega before biting him. Omega hits Moxley with a mop and smacks it off his back. Omega “cleans” the floor before hitting Moxley with the mop. They brawl into the VIP area, and Moxley smashes Omega’s head off a door. There is a glass table, and Moxley crushes him with a Death Rider through the glass!
We go to commercial.
We come back from the break to see Ortiz punch away at Matt. Santana comes in and punches. Ortiz tags back in, but Matt makes a comeback and spears him down. Santana pulls Nick off the apron to prevent a tag. Santana and Ortiz hit a standing moonsault followed by a falling head-butt for a near fall. Jericho tags back in, and he taunts the crowd. Jericho goes for a Lionsault, but Matt gets the knees up. Ortiz tags in and attacks Matt before knocking Nick off the apron again. Ortiz backs Matt to the corner and whips him to the opposite corner. Matt boots Ortiz back and hits a top rope flipping cutter! Santana knocks Nick off the apron, but Matt hits him with a pair of northern lights suplexes. Matt then this Santana and Ortiz with a northern lights suplex.
Nick tags in, avoids a double clothesline, and knocks Jericho off the apron. Nick hits Santana and Ortiz with some strikes followed by a bulldog/clothesline combo. Nick sends them out of the ring and continues attacking them. Nick hits a corkscrew plancha to the floor. Nick gets Santana in the ring, tags Matt in, and The Young Bucks go for the Meltzer Driver. Jericho hits Nick with a Codebreaker out of nowhere! Ortiz dropkicks Matt in the corner, and Santana follows up with a devastating cannonball. Jericho hits Matt with the Judas Effect for the win!
Winners by Pinfall: Santana, Ortiz, and AEW World Champion Chris Jericho
Jericho, Ortiz, and Santana continue the attack after the match. Cody runs down for the save and attacks Jericho. Sammy Guevara runs in and low blows Cody. Dustin Rhodes then runs down and clears the ring. All of a sudden, Jake Hager (fka WWE’s Jack Swagger) attacks Rhodes from behind! The crowd loudly boos. JR says “holy shit” uncensored. Hager attacks Cody and The Young Bucks. Hager hits Cody with a Vader Bomb. The crowd is loudly booing. All of a sudden, a loud “We the people” chant fires up. Hager celebrates in the ring. They put the timekeeper’s table in the ring, and Hager hits Dustin Rhodes with a Gutwrench Powerbomb on the table!
Hager holds Cody up, and Jericho slaps him in the face a few times. Jericho then floors Cody with a Judas Effect. They pile The Young Bucks, Cody, and Dustin Rhodes in the middle of the ring. Hager, Jericho, Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz stand over them as the show comes to an end!
