As noted, Jim Ross is no longer with WWE after his contract expired. During a recent episode of Inside The Ropes, JR revealed that they are in the final stages of coming to terms on a contract with AEW. This means that Jim Ross will likely be taking part in their pay-per-view events and eventual television show.
“We’re trying to get all the I’s dotted and T’s crossed. Hopefully, my tenure will eventually lead me to AEW, who we’ve been negotiating with for quite some time. That’s my goal. Start to work there and be part of their presentation in May and in Vegas for Double or Nothing.”
