As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown, AJ Styles defeated Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Mustafa Ali, and Samoa Joe in a fatal 5-way match to become the new #1 contender to the WWE Title He’ll challenge Daniel Bryan for the strap at the Royal Rumble.
Styles and Bryan have wrestled each other twice in recent months. First, when Bryan beat Styles to win the title on an episode of SmackDown Live in November and their second match at the TLC PPV event where Bryan beat Styles to retain the title.
