Impact Wrestling announced tonight that their Hall of Fame is expanding. This year’s inductee will be “The Monster” Abyss.
Christopher “Abyss” Park has spent the last 17 years of his career with Impact Wrestling, debuting at the first-ever TNA pay-per-view in June 2002. Abyss was one of the most recognizable characters. He’s a one-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, and also won a number of other belts (X Division, Television, and Tag Team). He will actually be the first true Impact original to be inducted into their Hall of Fame, as the rest of the inductees first made their names elsewhere. He will also be the only person in the class to have never worked for WWE.
It is our absolute honor and privilege to announce that “The Monster” @TherealAbyss will be the 2018 inductee into the IMPACT Hall of Fame. #IMPACTonPop pic.twitter.com/s4XlpQdFqg— IMPACT (@IMPACTWRESTLING) September 21, 2018
