WWE To Add Another Hour To Their Pay-Per-Views

WWE is going to add another hour to their pay-per-view shows and it starts with Money In The Bank.

According to Luca Franchini, the official wrestling commentator for Sky Sport Italia, Money In The Bank would start at 7 pm eastern time instead of 8 pm and it would run for at least four hours.

The tentpole shows (Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, Survivor Series) would expand to 5 hours and they would start at 6 pm eastern until approximately 11 pm eastern. WrestleMania would run until midnight.

It’s not clear if WWE will continue the pre-game shows or if they will be trimmed down. This seems like a move to accommodate the dual-brand format. One of the negatives for the talent is that fewer wrestlers would be appearing on the monthly PPV’s. By expanding the length of the shows it allows WWE to get more names involved and it allows them to build up more angles from week to week.
