John Cena to Never Wrestle Full-Time Again? WWE Allowing James Ellswoth to Work Non-WWE Wrestling Event

– Apparently WWE is allowing James Ellsworth to working non-WWE wrestling event, which is very rare for an active WWE Superstar to work an indie event while being on their top focal point on weekly WWE programming.

Ellsworth is scheduled to team with Tommy Dreamer at the December 17th House of Hardcore event in Joppa, Maryland. The two will take on The Spirit Squad, who have recently appeared on WWE television but are not under WWE contract.

– Jim Ross recently published a new blog entry in which he talked shortly about John Cena working more outside projects and compared his career to the likes of The Rock. Ross also mentioned that Cena may never work a full-time schedule for WWE again.

It seems that John Cena is traveling much the same road that Dwayne Johnson has taken in his post-WWE life which I applaud. Just like @TheRock, @JohnCena is and always will be a WWE guy who may never wrestle a full-time schedule again, likely not IMO, but will always be loyal to the company that helped launch his amazing career.

I know of no wrestler with reasonable sanity that is that would not trade the bumping and the road schedule, etc for the life of a TV or movie personality. Would you? I didn’t think so.
