Tag Team and Submission Title Match Added To WWE’s Extreme Rules

It was announced on tonight’s RAW from St. Louis that The Vaudevillains will face WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day for the titles. The Vaudevillains are being named #1 contenders after the tournament finals against Enzo Amore and Big Cass ended at WWE Payback due to Enzo’s concussion.

Stephanie McMahon later announced that Charlotte will defend her WWE Women’s Championship in a submission match at WWE Extreme Rules, and Ric Flair is banned from ringside.

After Charlotte and Ric addressed the “Chicago Screw Job” at WWE Payback, including getting referee Charles Robinson to explain his decision, Natalya came to the ring and says Ric paid off the referee to screw her over. Nattie then fought off an attack by Charlotte and put Ric in the Sharpshooter before the Flairs got away. Stephanie then found them backstage and said Nattie deserves a rematch, and Charlotte can prove herself against Nattie once and for all.

Here’s the updated card for the May 22nd Extreme Rules pay-per-view from Newark, NJ:

Extreme Rules Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Title
AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns

Submission Match for the WWE Women’s Title
Natalya vs. Charlotte
Ric Flair is banned from ringside
