According to Variety.com, The Rock and Kevin Hart are in talks with Sony to star in a remake of the 1996 movie “Jumanji”, which starred Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst. The original movie was adapted from the 1981 book of the same name.
The Variety report notes that both The Rock and Hart’s schedules are very full at the moment, but Rock’s “Rampage” movie might be pushed to 2017, so it’s possible “Jumanji” could be shot between the second and third seasons of HBO’s “Ballers”.
Sony feels Rock and Hart had great chemistry together in their upcoming movie “Central Intelligence”, as well as at the MTV Movie Awards, so the studio sees this as a perfect way to pair them up again.
