– According to ProWrestlingSheet, WWE has released announcer Rich Brennan. Brennan was reportedly informed of his release on Wednesday of this week, and as of this writing the reason for his release is unknown. Brennan made his WWE debut in 2014 as an announcer for NXT alongside Corey Graves. He was later promoted to lead announcer of Smackdown, but returned to being an interviewer when Mauro Ranallo replaced him on Smackdown.
– As noted, Ric Flair made a remark to Natalya during an in-ring promo at last night’s WWE Smackdown tapings in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Flair was in the ring with Charlotte, Natalya and Dean Ambrose for the Ambrose Asylum, when Natalya said Bret Hart would take care of Flair at Payback if necessary. Flair then cut a promo and got fired up, talking about how’s he beaten Bret all around the world, then ended by saying “kill yourself” to Nattie.
According to a few fans on social media, Ric Flair’s comments weren’t really taken as being malicious, and were in context so he likely just slipped up. The comment by Ric Flair will likely be edited out of the final Smackdown airing tomorrow night, but you can check out footage below:
