According to Fightful Select, WWE sources believe Renee Paquette (Renee Young) is headed to AEW. Give Me Sport’s Louis Dangoor has heard that WWE reached out to Renee about returning to the company, but Fightful has yet to confirm it.
Dangoor later took to Twitter to confirm Fightful’s report.
Can confirm @SeanRossSapp’s report. The latest I heard was that the belief within many in wrestling is that Renee Paquette (Renee Young) is heading to AEW. Was also told that enquiries made to Renee about her interest in working with WWE again recently.
Paquette, known as Renee Young in WWE, had a nearly eight-year run in the company from 2012 through 2020 before finishing up at SummerSlam. While with the company, she filled many roles, including backstage interviewer, hosting, commentator, and more. She also hosted WWE Backstage, which aired on FS1.
While away from the company, she has continued to find success as she started her own podcast, The Sessions, which is part of Colin Cowherd’s The Volume network, and joined the Cincinnati Bengals broadcast team for a new show entitled Renee All Dey.
Paquette recently filmed content for A&E Network specials on various WWE Legends. She also gave birth to her first child with Jon Moxley, who recently signed a five-year extension with All Elite Wrestling.
