In a follow-up to the earlier story about Nia Jax, Andrew Zarian is reporting that possibly 4 wrestlers were released by WWE because they were unvaccinated.
One of those names, Nia Jax, was reported by The New York Post and while there is speculation on social media on at least two other names, we won’t list them here because we don’t have them confirmed.
WWE wants everyone vaccinated to avoid another COVID-19 outbreak as there were several outbreaks last year at the start and during the height of the pandemic. Jax’s refusal to get vaccinated may also explain why she’s been off WWE TV.
Jax has been off WWE TV since September after Shayna Baszler stomped her elbow on the steel steps during an episode of Monday Night Raw. At the time, it appeared to be a storyline injury. WWE gave the following injury update on her in September that seemed to indicate that it was just a storyline injury and not legitimate:
“Nia Jax suffered an elbow posterior fracture and dislocation to her left elbow which will require surgery, and she will be out for an undisclosed amount of time.”
It was clear at the time that she would be off TV for an extended period of time and it looks like her vaccination status may have been the real reason why.
