WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite faced off in a direct Tuesday night ratings showdown on October 6, with NXT securing a total viewership victory over a special Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite, titled Grand Slam France.
According to data reported by Wrestlenomics, the October 6 episode of WWE NXT drew 532,000 total viewers. This represented a notable decrease from the previous week’s broadcast on September 29, which generated 671,000 viewers.
AEW Dynamite’s Grand Slam France special—broadcast from the Adidas Arena in Paris—pulled in 495,000 total viewers. The broadcast experienced a steep drop compared to the previous week’s dedicated PAC tribute episode on September 30, which drew 899,000 viewers on its customary Wednesday night slot.
The head-to-head conflict occurred as part of annual October programming adjustments, as Major League Baseball postseason coverage on TBS frequently requires AEW Dynamite to shift off its regular Wednesday night schedule.
In demographic metrics, WWE NXT posted a 0.10 rating in the key 18–49 age group (down from a 0.11 demo the prior week). AEW Dynamite earned a slight edge in the demographic, recording a 0.11 rating in the 18–49 demo (down from a 0.22 demo the prior week).
