Jim Ross Hospitalized Again Following Low Oxygen Levels After Second Brain Surgery

Legendary professional wrestling commentator Jim Ross is facing another frustrating medical challenge. The WWE Hall of Famer has been re-hospitalized, coming less than a week after undergoing a second brain procedure.

Hospitalized Due to Low Oxygen Levels

Ross, 74, shared the news directly with fans on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday evening, confirming that he had been readmitted to the hospital after experiencing dangerously low oxygen levels.

“Back in the hospital due to low oxygen,” Ross revealed. “Weighed 198. Need a break.”

Recent Medical Complications and Brain Surgeries

This latest setback follows a sequence of complex health issues for the iconic announcer:

  • August 2026: Ross had a shunt surgically placed in his brain to address ongoing neurological issues and improve balance.
  • Severe Headaches & Bleeding: While the shunt initially aided his movement, Ross subsequently began suffering from severe headaches. A follow-up CT scan revealed intracranial bleeding, necessitating emergency intervention.
  • October 7, 2026: Ross underwent a second brain surgery to correct the complications surrounding the shunt. Although doctors reported that the procedure was successful, his recovery remains fragile.
  • Additional Setbacks: Alongside his brain surgeries, Ross has been recovering from multiple broken toes sustained in August and attending regular medical appointments for secondary concerns.

There is currently no official timetable regarding how long the commentary icon will remain under medical supervision during this latest hospital stay.
